CompTIA Network+ Certification
Network+
Certification is a non-vendor, non-product specific
certification program that validates your knowledge as a
networking professional and demonstrates a wide range of
skills required in today's network environments. The program
was developed with the support of major computer hardware
and software vendors, distributors, resellers, and
publications in the industry.
The Network+
course offered at New Horizons is a five-day class that prepares
students to take the Network+ exam. Furthermore, the Network+
Certification many times is the first step in achieving a Windows MCSA
or MCSE certification.
Audience
Network+ Certification is suited for computer technicians with 18 to
24 months experience who are searching for a challenging career in the
administration and support of complex internetworking environments.
Prerequisites
Students should have a good background in PC technology before taking
the Network+ course. Although not a prerequisite, it is recommended
that Network+ candidates have at least nine months of experience in
network support or administration or adequate academic training. It is suggested that
students have their A+ Certification or
equivalent IT-related work experience to adequately prepare them.

Installation and Upgrading, Managing User Accounts and Passwords, Remote
Access and Administration, and Fault Tolerance and Disaster Recovery.
Requirements
The Network+ Certification exam has 85 questions that must be completed within 90

link, network, and transport layers, TCP/IP issues, remote connectivity,
and security. The remainder of the exam tests your ability to install,
maintain, and troubleshoot a network.
